Föhr is the ideal family island: flat beaches with few waves and very many playgrounds. Midlum is one of the villages where many islanders live themselves and is therefore not overrun with tourists. A children's playground, a doctor, a very good snack bar, an excellent restaurant with real children's portions and a very cozy cafe are located in the village center. Children love above all the shepherd's shop in the village with goats and sheep to pet.
